Marine Drive, Tea Gardens
This mixed use development encompasses ground-level retail and commercial spaces, a variety of residential unit types, as well as a shared pool and outdoor amenities situated on the first level. Notably, the development incorporates the restoration and repurposing of a local heritage landmark, The Universal Store, to serve as a retail offering.
Positioned at the heart of Marine Drive in Tea Gardens, the site benefits from its direct proximity to the ferry wharf. The uninterrupted waterfront views have been maximised for each apartment. Drew Dickson Architects worked closely with MidCoast Council to gain Development Approval for a design that harmoniously integrates with the surrounding local structures. In doing so, our design establishes a contextual framework that seamlessly blends the development into its historical surroundings.
